Funk Fish - Inglewood

We discovered Funkfish in Dec 2013 and have been there nine times since. I love the huge wine glasses and the attentive service. Never have I been able to finish the meal, the portions are huge. I am not a seafood lover but I always have a great time. Family from other parts of NZ and from Australia love to visit us because we take them to this restaurant where they eat Mussels Three Ways and scallops and oysters and best of all, black tiger prawns. I haven't found a single thing to criticise.

Had a great night out for tea last week. Would recommend it to everyone. Its got a homely feel with both staff warm and welcoming, never was my water empty.<br/ <br/ The white chocolate and strawberry cheese cake was amazing as well as the warm pizza bread and bread and butter dessert. <br/ <br/ Could not fault a thing.

Really great restaurant. Food is excellent and very generous portion sizes, service is great also. If you want to try a new restaurant, it's definitely worth the visit! Never disappoints.<br/ <br/ Try the pan fried fish with tiger pawns and risotto it is amazing!

Service was excellent, food was outstanding and fish cooked to perfection, visual presentation was exceptional. Unable to fault any of the food, starters, main or dessert. The bathroom facilities were high class and very clean. Highly recommended to all.

We have enjoyed take outs from Funk Fish Grill, many times, but went in last week and had a sit down meal. I have been totally converted to prawns.....(I 've always been determined to like them, as they 're very beneficial, health ways... I tried a few of my husbands, which were flash fried in garlic and butter. O.M.G!!!! I have since bought a bag of frozen prawns and going to attempt to replicate this, though we will be regular diners from now on. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, the owner/waiter was well informed, fun, and friendly, and the décor conducive to fine dining. We are totally rapt we 've found somewhere locally where we can get a great meal, in a great atmosphere. Another 'conversion ' for me was a sample of my husbands ' dessert: John 's take on 'Bread and Butter Pudding. ' Unbelievable!! Thanks John....we 'll be back!!
