The Ole Barn - Inlet

This is the BEST restaurant in the area. Service and food are always amazing.

This restaurant is from the beaten path of Old Forge. I came by chance and what a great surprise. The local restaurants on the main street were packed and only reservations. At least for all restaurants served not only Tavern food. This place is huge. It could hold up to 400 people. One of the charms of this place for me was the exterior. While waiting for dinner, I watched Hummingbirds hunting around the several feeders, flowers and unique landscapes. The interior was full of memories. The food was delicious. I can't tell you what I enjoyed more the pleasant staff and the unique atmosphere or the food. The whole experience was excellent. Great family restaurant or for large groups. Prices are relatively low, much cheaper than most.

In this past winter for the first time stopped. Beer was pretty high. The bartender wouldn't give us the Wi-Fi password. I mean, really? You're basically out in the middle of nowhere and you don't let people communicate with loved ones home. Was really shut off.

I know this place is for sale, but it's really more than a restaurant. We went and we missed the kitchen at 5 minutes that knew a kitchen would be closed at 4:00? It was a disappointing trip and they did nothing to accommodate two hungry snowmobiles.

Went with the family at 5:30 on a Saturday. There was maybe 3 couples in the whole place. Saturday special was open faced prime rib sandwich. Only one was available, they were out of the special. Everyone received their food except one person, who didn't get his until we were all done eating. Apologies, but no discounts. Waitress was not around much. Can't imagine how it would have been if it had been busy. 2 people, shrimp basket, lasagna and a couple of drinks $78.00 with 18% gratuity included. Very disappointing!
