This friendly couple warmly welcomed us after our long journey and gave us a tour of the property before showing us to our room. The location is secluded and beautiful, making it feel as though you are away from everything. Inveraray is a short drive away for dining options, although Anson and Jennie recommend researching and booking a restaurant for a meal. The hotel itself is stunning, with many features to enjoy. The lounge area is a relaxing space with an open fire (weather permitting). Our bedroom, named "Awe," was spacious, en-suite, and equipped with all amenities such as shortbread, tea, coffee, toiletries, and incredibly soft hand towels. The breakfast was entirely vegan, with a self-serve continental option and a hot dish brought to the table. We opted for the full Scottish breakfast (scrambled tofu, bacon bits, sausages, etc.) but there were also pancake and porridge options available. We are already planning our return trip to Killean Farmhouse to fully savor this amazing experience.
We stayed at this lovely vegan restaurant for three nights.
We spent three nights at this lovely vegan bed and breakfast. Anson and Jennie are welcoming and accommodating hosts. We stayed in a spacious room with a comfortable king-sized bed. The breakfast was delicious! Jennie is a talented chef - don't miss the bacon with potatoes, it's excellent!
Anson and Jennie run the Killean farmhouse with a lot of passion. They are a friendly and welcoming couple who greeted us warmly after our long journey and gave us a tour of the farmhouse before showing us to our room. The location is stunning and feels secluded, perfect for getting away from it all. Inveraray is nearby for dining options, but I would recommend doing some research to find the best restaurant for a meal. The hotel itself is gorgeous and has a lot of great features. The lounge area is a relaxing spot with an open fire (weather permitting). Our room, named Awe after a Loch, was en-suite and had all the amenities we could need including shortbread, tea, coffee, toiletries, and the fluffiest towels. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and featured a full vegan spread with options for tea/coffee, cereal, toast, and a hot meal. We opted for the full breakfast with tofu scramble, bacon bits, sausages, etc., but there were also options for pancakes or porridge. We have already booked a return trip and plan to stay longer so that we can fully enjoy this amazing experience.

They gave us a tour of the farmhouse before showing us to our room. The location is beautiful, secluded from the hustle and bustle. It is close enough to Inveraray for a meal out, but it is recommended to research restaurants and make reservations in advance for dinner. The hotel is stunning with many charming features. The lounge area is a relaxing spot with an open fire (weather permitting). Our room, named after Lochs, was called Awe and was en-suite with all the amenities needed - shortbread, tea, coffee, toiletries, amazingly fluffy towels, and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast is fully vegan with self-serve tea/coffee, cereal, toast, and a hot option brought to the table. We opted for the full cooked breakfast with scrambled tofu, bacon bits, sausages, and more, but there were also choices of pancakes or porridge. We are already planning our next trip and intend to stay longer so we can fully enjoy this wonderful experience.
