Felt privileged to be in this quaint seaside village on the second day of the Bluff Oyster season. The shop was packed, but service came with a charming smile our deep fried Oysters and chips were perfect, the fresh half shelled Oysters fresh clean devine and the grade A punnet ones perfection also. A must have delicacy when in bluff and worth every cent.
The place has plenty of tables and chairs and parking. The oyster is pretty good. Half a dozen bluff oysters for $20
We rolled past this place on our way to Bluff. We got a dozen Bluff oysters, 2 pieces of Blue Cod and chips for lunch. The fish was really soft and fresh and the oysters were simply divine. Will grab more oysters on our way back up north again.
Just had a marvelous early lunch here. We had raw oysters on the half shell, some cooked battered oysters and a wonderful fish called Green Bone. The Green Bone was so fresh and cooked to perfection and was one of the best pieces of fish that I have ever had (and I had never heard of it before. The lovely ladies who served it said it was a kind of Butterfish). This little stop became our highlight of the day.
The oysters were cooked to perfection. The batter was crispy, not soggy. The oysters weren't dry. The chips were cooked perfectly
