Rookies Sports Grill - Iola

The food was definitely a disappointment. We ate from the buffet. The thin pizza tasted like cardboard, the thick pizza was ddoggy. The breadsticks were okay. Salad and red sauce were good.

The starter was good but everything else was bad. We got there about 6:30 and we didn't leave till about 8:45. I ordered the build your own Burger, my burger was tasteless and burnt, my buns were burnt, my bacon was burnt and my chili tasted weird. And it came out looking like the size of a slider and I had maybe like 13 fries for $13. We were about to pay and walk out just with our starter because our food took so long. The servers were more worried about putting chairs on tables then were about serving customers. It's gone downhill since they moved and we're never going back!

They open at 11AM, but you can't order until 11:15. Why not have employees show up 15-20 minutes before to get things ready and ve ready to roll by 11. 1 star ? ?? Reply to business owners' stupid response : I called at 10:51 am. and asked if I could put an order in, and they stated that I could not put any order in until 11:15 since they opened at 11AM. I never mentioned I wanted a pizza, I just asked if I can make a togo order. So please stop lying. if a couple of pizzas put you behind, you might want to restructure your schedule, training, and obviously your managers' skills. I wouldn't eat here for free. I read the other reviews about employees yelling at the managers in the back. Hope that was you. Go fly a kite.

We were in town visiting family and stopped in. The buffet was excellent and the service was top notch!!

First time trying the establishment. The atmosphere is very sports minded as the name suggests. It was difficult to find using Google maps because the sign by the road has Bar-B-Q on it. The sign with Rookies is a banner attached to the side of the building. The food was good. I ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap with Mac cheese side. The Mac cheese was cooked with bacon and made it very good. The wrap was not very spicy at all.
