George's Buffet - Iowa City

If you're not a regular here, you might find yourself overlooked and not receiving much attention. You'd likely have a better experience at a bar downtown instead of this one.

This place may not appeal to everyone, as it truly embodies the essence of a dive bar. It's not one of those trendy spots you might find in New York City that merely tries to mimic a dive bar atmosphere. Instead, it has a genuine dive bar feel—dimly lit, somewhat cramped, with a very limited menu. However, it’s an excellent place to enjoy a beer with friends in a completely unpretentious setting. I deducted a star because they don't accept credit cards, and it seems this issue has been persistent without a resolution.

This buffet is over. The crab legs and corn on the Kob were from this world. But I can't vape here.

The most cozy bar in the city of Iowa! In summer there is an outdoor terrace and you can get the best hamburger in the city.
