We visited the restaurant in November 2023. The location was dirty and run-down. The staff was not very attentive or friendly. We requested our dishes to be prepared with medium spiciness, however...
I placed an order through DoorDash and it arrived in less than 45 minutes. The food was still piping hot and was packaged neatly and securely. I really appreciated that! The...
An update to my last review of 2012: masala continues to go downhill. the food/service is missing and six years later the restaurant needs serious good cleaning and painting. old review: before masala added her menu, we visited the restaurant quite regularly. with fair trips and portions it was a simple place to go to dinner without spending much. also, with any other Indian restaurant in the city that served meat, it was relaxing to have somewhere that was vegetarian. as they have added a few months again meat, I feel less inclined to go. nothing brings a damper to my appetit, as to see smiling on a menu listed. concerning eating, I recommend the samosas, pakora, chana masala, coconut curry vegetables and masala dosa. They have no fear to make the dinge spicy as I like. (the only exception is the afternoon buffet where they keep everything quite mild. the service is not especially warm or friendly, and the restaurant itself is somehow grubby around the edges. the light switches and wall color could be replaced, repainted and/or use a deep cleaning. when they use the bathroom, they can look into the haphazard and the lavish kitchen area. they have recently made some updates to their seating area, but there is still space for improvements. updated from previous review on 2018-10-06
I was traveling through the city and was so excited to read the reviews of this restaurant. I must have visited them on an off day as I wasn 't too impressed with them. As other posters mentioned everything is clearly labelled on the menu. It was VERY easy to find vegan options (everything is at least vegetarian , which was really nice. The server looked very grumpy not friendly at all. We were one table out of 4 the whole time we were there and he didn 't look much nicer to any of the other tables. We ordered our food medium and found it was way too hot for our tastes. Be sure to ask for mild (or no spice! if you don 't like your food too spicey! The food itself was average I 've had much better elsewhere. Though the naan was really tasty, everything else was just average. If we were to pass through town again, I would definitely go somewhere else.
