Noodles Company - Iowa City

The spaghetti had very little sauce, and the meatballs were just average. The counter staff was quite unfriendly, despite there only being myself and one other couple in the restaurant. I don't plan to go back.

I placed an order through the app, but the delivery driver canceled—surprisingly, it's typical of DoorDash. I received an email instructing me to call the store about the cancellation. When I called, the staff member informed me that she had issued a refund, which could take forever to clear from my bank. Now, I have to reorder my food to get it assigned to a new driver, and my original meal, which is just sitting there, will eventually be delivered. I’d end up with two charges of $40 while waiting for the refund to process. No thanks! I asked if I could just take the food since the issue was on their side, but she said I needed to place a new order. Frustrated, I told her to keep it. I’m done trying with this location.

I really like this restaurant. The person who was taking orders today clearly didn't know the store menu. I've order a kids meal with cauliflower noodles and she said they didn't over cauliflower noodles on kids meals and I had to show point it out to her that was yes an option. When I got to my table I've seen they gave me zucchini noodles with my shrimp scampi when I did not order zucchini noodles. When I went back to request a refund (I was late for an appt and would not have time to have my order remade) she said the shrimp scampi was only served with zucchini noodles. Once again I had to point it to her that the shrimp scampi was also offered under classic noodles. I did get my refund. I don't know if she was new to the store ¯ (ツ) ¯

There was an employee with pink hair who was unreasonably rude for no apparent reason. I simply asked for extra napkins, and they gave me a dirty look and rolled their eyes. This behavior is unacceptable.

Be cautious if you have a gluten intolerance! The food was decent, but the Pad Thai was just average. My girlfriend specifically ordered a gluten-free dish, but she found wheat noodles at the bottom of her meal.
