Sumo Sushi Grill - Iowa City

Waited over an hour for food that never showed. The waitress said she was new so not her fault but the manager never came to explain things. The atmosphere is just ok, nothing special.

Recently at the restaurant for the first time honestly loved it! The owner was aware and even socialized with us which isn't typical.Coming back next time I am in Iowa City!

Great sushi. Big fan of deep fried sushi and they had a nice verity. Will stop by again and recommend to anyone looking to get sushi.

Ramen was bland. It was clear soup with not even a hint of salt. Possibly the worst food I have had in Iowa City.

Good, and affordable Sushi, especially on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when they discount regular and specialty sushi rolls by 25%. Only reason why service isn't 5 stars is because when it gets really busy you might have to wait awhile (30-45 mins) before u get your food.Vegetarian options: they have vegan options, like the Cali roll, and salads.Kid-friendliness: staff is very friendly towards kids, and have booster chairs if needed.
