Gerglas Weinschenke - Iphofen

Öfters standen wir vor der unscheinbaren Fassade und warfen einen Blick auf die kleine Speisekarte. Nun waren wir mal dort zu Besuch. Innen ein netter Gastraum, eine freundliche Bedienung war flott unterwegs. Das Essen gutbürgerlich, die Portionen groß. Preise - in Ordnung. Fazit: nicht von der Aussenfassade ablenken lassen sondern ruhig besuchen. Seltsam das ich das Restaurant erst einmal anlegen lassen musste.

We stood in front of the inconspicuous facade and took a look at the small menu. Well, we were here to visit. Inside a nice guest room, a friendly service was on the go. Eating good-bourgeois, servings big. Conclusion: Do not let the outer facade distract, but visit quietly. It's strange that I had to put the restaurant first.

Operators and staff are nice and accommodating. The beer garden (it is also a wine garden) is quite romantic (especially at a later hour): natural stone with vines irradiated by beamers used in the soil. The food is good, the menu is safe to grow. The wine card is not very long, but the two Iphöfer wines I could taste were delicious and inexpensive.

The gergla in iphofen is, in my opinion, a great weeping. the interior design looks very new and is extremely high quality. the highlight, however, is not visible from the outside. that is beautifully designed and offers space for many people. Operation is friendly, but some things don't work, like waiting times for eating. two tables that came after us had much more than we did. this is another word to eat and drink: the menu is solid, but largely uncomfortable (e.g. cheese, salad with truthahn stripes or flame cake). Price-performance when eating ok, good at drinks!
