A place for large cantonese cuisine. The food is a bit on the salty side, but the taste is very complex, so overall it is still an amazing place. The Wok-Hei is really good in all her dishes, fried wontan and fried fish paste must try.
My family and I went there on Christmas 25th. The whole place was full, but we just waited 40 minutes. The service was exceptional. Staff ensure that we have ordered enough food, recommended good dishes and checked for us from time to time. We had fried fish paste with garlic. It was the best version I ever had. Very reasonable price too.
Founded in 1957, Hoong Tho is one of my favorite restaurants in Malaysia It serves authentic Cantonese cuisine and has many specialties on the menu, but the thing I tend to most is their Sang Har Meen (Big Head Prawn Noodles) ... the soup is so full of prawn umami it is not even funny that is probably one of the best things you can eat in Malaysia. You also have a Pei Dan Gow (Preserved Egg Dumpling), which is another crazy dish. Even the simple things like her roasted rice and roasted noodles are taste explosions. I don't think I've ever eaten something that's not delicious here.
Repeat visit. Food was quite good.. staff are way friendly than before/ during mco..
