Contribuisci feedbackWe love Bella Napoli first time we have tried dinning in at this restaurant we normally get a takeaway from Pownall Road Bella Napoli. But here was amazing staff were friendly, clean and tidy restaurant. we will definitely be coming here more...often now
The staff are extremely rude, smoking in the doorway to the restaurant. The delivery drivers are just as bad, drive like absolute lunatics.
Good food, served fresh hot. Mistake with the dish quickly corrected. Saturday night, got busy around Friendly.
I visited this restaurant for lunch last saturday on a day trip from London to Ipswich. My first selections from Trip Advisor were closed,so we just ended up picking this place at random-what a mistake that was.All the dishes that came out were below par,with...cheap,poor quality ingredients used. The restaurant was dead we were the only clients in there, having eaten there-I can now see why- the rank food obviously acts as a deterrent to repeat custom. I ordered calzone and I can honestly say that it was the worst calzone I,ve ever had. The main ingredients were ham, sausage and mozzarella. The pizza was packed with ****,instead of authentic Italian ingredients.I was expecting Italian sausage and instead I got Tesco Value sausage or something akin to that,my ham was copious but tasteless -so let us call it Sainsburys Economy ham and my mozzarella was not even mozzarella but some tasteless cheap variant of cheddar cheese. The dough was stodgy and had probably emerged straight from the freezer, prior to being served up on my table. The only authentic Italian item I received was my bottle of cold Peroni beer.At the very least this helped to wash away the disgusting taste.I would have had a more enjoyable meal if I had bought a supermarket frozen pizza. Steer Clear.
As far as pizza places in Ipswich goes, it is definately in top After I discovered the Bella Napoli restaurant back when they only had one place near the Waterfront in Ipswich, I gave up on other more famous chains. The prices are really...good (around pounds per person for most dishes). Most of the staff are Turkish, which means Mediteranean just like Italy, so that is a plus in my book. If you are looking for the Italian chef especially go to Bella Napoli he usually works there. The athmosphere is good in the store, the colors and the friendliness of the people along with the intimate seting will make you want to stay in, but you can always take your food to go (and you can order ahead). If I was to recommend anything, it would be to put some Italian music on from time to time.
