Orwell Crossing - Ipswich

This is a truck stop along the A12, although it's not quite like their usual Fat Spoon locations. The food is primarily sourced locally, and I highly recommend the breakfast as well as the fry-up dinner. It's a popular spot for truck drivers and others. The staff is friendly, and for truck drivers, there are shower and toilet facilities available. The prices are very affordable, and the service is quick.

I hadn't noticed on the way in, but there was a karaoke night happening, and since I love karaoke, I couldn't resist joining in. The host, who was running the show, kindly let me sing two songs despite my rush. After that, I headed to the bar and grabbed a Diet Pepsi. About an hour later, I texted my friends to tell them about my fun experience. One of them had heard of the place but had never been there with me. By around 10 PM, my friends arrived, and we stayed until midnight when the music wrapped up. We struck up a conversation with the karaoke host and his wife, who informed us that the restaurant is open all night. We all enjoyed a full English breakfast, and I treated myself to a large cheesecake for dessert. We chatted comfortably in the spacious chairs until 4:30 AM, enjoying the ambiance without feeling rushed to leave as soon as the bar closed. It was nice not having to hit a burger van to extend our night! Overall, it’s a fantastic place to visit after a night out or to stop by when several bands are performing nearby. I give it a perfect 10 out of 10!

Very good showers with a lot of space. sliding doors over the shower so whole cubic is not wet. adjustable heat and very good pressure. not the kindest or most helpful watchmanship I have here. good hard standing to the parking lot. cannot comment on other facilities, as the caffe has been closed.

Clean pleasant showers... Food good but large servings.... Great for big eaters but not a lot for smaller appetites.
