Hacienda. - Irakleion

We came twice to hacienda, for the first time to brunch and for the second time to lunch. the food was super both picturesque! very generous portions, great options as well as for eating and drinks.

This restaurant is in a nice neighborhood but parking can be tricky to find. The food was above average and the service was average. The pancakes were really good but they give you just a tiny bit of syrup for them. They egg sandwich is pretty good too. If you’re close by, check them out.

They got the order wrong and brought me a brioche but not the one I had ordered. The waitress kindly removed the plate and a little later a different one (which was probably the manager because she was not wearing the apron the others did) brought me a plate with bread which was definitely NOT brioche (see photo). To my protest that this is not brioche her reply was an arrogant have you had brioche before? Even if I hadn 't, I think I could recognize the plain bread I was looking at in front of me, which I have bought many times from the local bakery for 0.80€. The filter coffee was burnt, a common mistake when they are trying to make filter coffee -which takes time- using an espresso machine and just dropping the hot water in the cup all at once. The pancakes were nothing special but they weren 't bad either. I had planned to visit their other store (I was in the Papandreou Street one) and try their bao buns but I am not going back ever. The decoration was cute though and the waitress that made the mistake was very polite.

Very delicious breakfast and drinks. beautiful ambiente and very friendly staff. we tempt every morning in heraklion to the breakfast and would definitely come back. loved the zimtrolle and avocado toast!
