Xalali - Irakleion

Fried kodfish and huh in the Cretan cheese sauce were super tasty! and as a compliment we received classic raki and strawberry, also top out and ice very sweet of them. service was very good and I would definitely recommend this place!

We had a very tasty and filling dinner in xalali in our last night on kreta. with some hardships to find a non-tourist restaurant in the inner city, we asked for restaurant tips and came to xalali, and are happy that we have come! eating was great, service so friendly and the portions much bigger than expected!

Excellent food, wine and atmosphere (they have nice greenery all arround). And the price for the great time we had was very affordable. We'll gladly revisit this place!

We were quite surprised how nice this restaurant was. the prices were low, so we only had 'good value for money', but actually that was eating some of the most beautiful we had on kreta. the appetizers were fantastic, the free bread fresh and delicious. there are always, as other reviews have mentioned, a free drink of strawberry raki that ends the meal of beautiful the location was not 'the best of view on the harbour' like the restaurant in the center of the city, but it was nice enough and shaded against the heat of the day we will go again

Amazing food and amazing service. We enjoyed it so much and we wish we had more days left of our trip to come to this place again. The location is nice and quiet. We got the table very fast even though we came without the reservation. The Greek salad was probably the best one I’ve tried in Crete for a very low price (5-5,50eur). The complementary desert was also very nice and tasty. Highly recommend this place!!
