The Station - Irlam

Had a great time at my Dad 's 70th birthday party here this afternoon in the 'The Coalyard ' room downstairs. Jo and her team couldn 't have been more helpful. The buffet was lovely and it was so nice that the children could play on the train play area in the sun! We all had a lovely afternoon. Thanks!

Lovely place for food and drinks, lots of interesting things to look at, nice features. Friendly staff. Plenty of seating, both indoors and out, to train watch to your hearts content.

This is a most amazing place. A station that was derelict for 20 years is now a lovely restaurant. There are railway lamps and signalling equipment in nooks and crannies, and a wonderful collection of signals outside. The real jewel in tje crown is the signal box that was moved from Keighley. Oh yes I forgot to add, good beer and great, well-priced wholesome food.
