Mike's - Ironwood

The restaurant is straightforward, welcoming, and affordable. The waitress prepared a delicious meatless chef salad for me, and I topped it off with two easy-over eggs, along with my own blend of vinegar, oil, and spices for dressing. It made for an excellent breakfast! I really appreciate that they offer smaller portions for those with lighter appetites.

UPDATE: The food was the worst I've ever had. I took one bite of the omelet and had to send it back. The toast was essentially just oily bread. Save your time and money – this place is not worth it. UPDATE 2 for the Owner: Your response to my review was disappointingly simplistic. I never mentioned oatmeal, so please read my review carefully before replying. The couple ordering from the lunch menu behind us were in their 30s – not your 92-year-old father. It’s frustrating that you seem to make arbitrary distinctions about who gets to order from certain menus.

I stopped by this restaurant during my business trip, and it was fantastic!

My traveling companion said that the Italian omelette he had a week ago yesterday was the best omelette he ever had. I nabbed a bite and he was correct. My biscuits and gravy with fried eggs weren't bad either. When we're ever in Ironwood Mike's will be our go to place. Thank you, Dan Walker, Rhinelander Wisconsin.

Simple, friendly and reasonably priced. The waitress whipped up a meatless chef salad and I added two eggs easy over to the top with my own mix of vinegar/oil and spices for dressing. It was a quite awesome breakfast! I love the fact that they serve smaller portions for smaller appetites.
