J Sweet Bakery - Irvine

I truly appreciate the cakes from this type of bakery. They use real cream and fresh fruit, and they're not overly sweet. We sampled the Choco Chiffon with strawberry filling, topped with fruit, and it was light and refreshing.

The bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts here are absolutely wonderful. Some of our top picks include the hot dog rolls, pineapple bread, green onion bread, cream custard bread, orange cake roll, strawberry mochi, chocolate strawberry cake, black forest cake, and mango mousse. The cakes have a perfect texture—soft, airy, and fluffy—without being overly sweet, and they’re packed with fresh fruit.

This place has excellent bread, but it's become more expensive since it first opened. The reason I'm not giving it a full five stars is that they don't start serving tea until 10:00 AM. Given that they open early, I would expect tea to be available before that time.

A beautiful place to visit! Beautiful cakes and pastries, some so pretty it seems a shame to eat them. What does not stop me: add bread and other good things and you have a place you go more than once,

We come here for the Japanese cream puffs! Pretty awesome stuff! The cream inside has a hint of vanilla bean, powdered sugar on top and each are individually boxed.
