Oo Toro Sushi - Irvine

We came to lunch based on recommendations from friends and were not disappointed. It is definitely expensive, but the quality of food is melt-in-your-mouth delicious! We shared the bbq pork rib, toro cut roll, masago sushi, albacore sushi and uni sushi. Definitely plan to eat here again and would recommend this to everyone who loves sushi and Japanese dishes.

Quality of fish was excellent. Oysters were fantastic. Frieder Reis was good. Much better than a typical sushi spot. High final note. But coming from the IE, the travel distance to come here, I'd rather go to Ohshima, Ikko, Sushi Bear. Great for locals.

My son and I went on a recommendation. It was excellent. We ordered the rice, a ton of sushi, mixed tempura and the OOtoro tower. Very good. Had to wait an hour, very busy. The staff was excellent.

I dare to say one of the best sushi meals of my life with my first meal in Nobu NY in 1997. The house made soy sauce and fresh wasabi increase the experience. Really a world-class sushi cook, incredible fish and so on. Engawa and seered akamutsu (ruby Snapper) were ineffective. Yellowtail Kama Perfection. Etc etc. Do not hesitate to choose large whisky!

Food and presentation are all good... sushi boxes are good value. But on two occasions, I’ve waited a very long time for to-go and dining in. They need better operations as to alleviate the painfully slow kitchen and speedier service.
