El Fenix - Irving

I absolutely adore this restaurant group, and I favor this particular location over the others. The staff truly sets it apart, making you feel as though you’re returning home to family. Naturally, they serve the same fantastic Tex-Mex cuisine that we all know and love, served hot and expertly prepared. If you're a tourist visiting from out of town, this is definitely the spot to experience the original Tex-Mex recipes.

This is a lovely restaurant with excellent food. They've been operating since 1918! Although they're still a bit understaffed since reopening after the pandemic, we used the extra time to appreciate the gorgeous decor. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. We shared a massive chocolate and caramel sopapilla that was simply delightful! If we lived nearby, we would definitely come here frequently.

Exceptional! My wife, originally from Texas and now living in Arizona, enjoyed a getaway here that brought back memories of the flavors she grew up with. The Tex-Mex enchiladas were fantastic! The unique interior atmosphere made the experience even better (photos included). The staff was attentive and helpful. Make sure to stop by – you won’t be disappointed!

It's dependable if nothing else. I haven't been in years and everything is exactly as it was last time. Everything is good, hot and fresh. The salsa bowls are super small...
