I could see some of the dismissiveness towards other patrons. This spot has one of the best happy hour menus I've ever seen! The $1 steak fajita tacos were delicious! Beers are $2 and so were the beef nachos. It was also cool that they had a DJ starting at 5 on a Tuesday night. The Texas Margaritas were also great and so were the watermelon margaritas.
What an amazing place to stumble on while hungry at the mall! My mom and I were about to grab other food when we decided to try los luches. We entered through the mall side and found that there was no one at the door, so we walked through the restaurant and went to the street side and found someone there to help us. We were seated immediately and brought out some water. Our waiter took a while from there going forward, but I realized as we sat there that him and another waiter were the only ones around serving about 12 or so tables. The menu was filled with tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, burritos, nachos, and other favorites as well as a healthier menu with lower sodium and lower fat options. Our waiter did come and get our orders and I decided on their street tacos. I got three of their tacos in chicken fajita, al pastor, and beef fajita. All three tacos were just amazing--all came with onions, cilantro, and this avacado based sauce that spiced up each taco just right! I asked for cheese, which made each taco pop even more. On the side I had their charro beans, which were amazing as well. I added some of their house salsa to the mix, which of course made all of the onions and seasonings pop! My mom had their beef tacos and refried beans, which she said were great, bu the shells were a little soggy. Overall the food was great and the service was slow, but great! I felt for our waiter that was overwhelmed with the number of tables he had. He was very nice though and made my mom and I feel very comfortable and welcomed. The prices were not bad either--just $17 for the both of us to eat dinner! I will definitely be back!
Love this place! I dont live in the area but I enjoy coming to Irving to have Mexican food. This place is located in the Irving mall. The menu is large and they host salsa dancing on certain days. My favorite dish is the guiso. I enjoy the tender beef tips with brown gravy. The service is great. They are very attentive. The food price is reasonable. I like to stop by when I'm picking up my glasses. I read that they also have a lunch buffet on the weekdays. If your in the area I would def stop by. They have a fool bar. Overall food is great service is great and price is reasonable. You definitely wont leave hungry and you wont break the bank.
My coworker dragged me hear to try their buffet. I think the entire bill was less than $10 per person for all you can eat Mexican food. The food is worth the price. The buffet line is pretty slow but the place is rarely busy. They had tacos, fajitas, beans, rice, soup, beef stew, tamales, and two different types of roll ups. I heard that this place has amazing drink specials but never got a chance to come back and try them.
All the food was wattered down.. all I've it.. thee sour cream was like watered down milk and the chicken in the enchiladas tasted like canned good meat.. disgusting. Even the queso was bad..
