This is the only Smoothie King I've ever visited that couldn't scan the QR code in my app for points. The girl at the counter earlier this afternoon clearly wasn't trained in basic customer service. When I approached to place my order, she just stared out the window for several seconds without acknowledging me. Then, when the QR code didn’t scan properly, she simply said, "It's not working," without offering an apology or any explanation for the issue.
I tried to call the restaurant for assistance but ended up on an 18-minute hold before I finally hung up. When I attempted to call back five minutes later, the line was busy, suggesting no one was answering the phone. Eventually, I flagged down a customer who had just left. I explained my situation and asked her to inform the staff. Despite being past the promised time, she kindly let me know they had just started working on my order and that someone with pink hair would bring it out shortly. After waiting another 20 minutes, I noticed all the other customers had left, and the staff were just chatting. I still couldn't reach anyone on the phone, so I asked another passerby for help, and he kindly brought my order to me. As someone who finds it challenging to eat solid food, I thought a smoothie would be easy to consume and soothing for my sore throat. Unfortunately, the wait and the need to bother strangers made the experience not worth it. A simple 15-second phone call could have communicated my need for curbside service due to my COVID situation, and it would have taken just a minute to bring the order out since I was parked right in front of the door. In total, I spent nearly 50 minutes parked there.
This location has such friendly fast service. Whether I?m ordering through the app or in person, my orders are always right. The location is also convenient, as I am trying to train myself at the gym, at a nearby park, or at my pilates class. The only thing that was confusing is that the app offers curbside delivery for this location, but the staff confirmed they do not (at least at this time). So, if you order online, make sure to pick up for order in the store.
The issue that I encountered was an awful smell of rotten mop water. It was so overwhelming that it made me sick to my stomach and I didn?t trust the smoothie that was made and trashed it. $21 wasted not happy about that and will never ever come back to that location again.?
