Joe's Burger Shack - Isla Mujeres

Isla Mujeres got hit with 4.8 inches of rain which closed a lot of restaurants. I headed out from our rental to get some carry out and found Joe's was one of the few places open in La Gloria. I ordered the double steak burger, chicken burrito, and steak tacos....way too much food for two people! The steak burger was huge and would have been enough for us. It was one of the best burgers we ever had anywhere! The burrito ended up being steak not chicken and actually had different meat than the steak tacos I ordered. Neither were very good so stick with the American side of the menu and you can't go wrong.

We'd heard great things about Joe's Burger Shack. Four of us stopped in. We ordered three cheeseburgers and the chicken sandwich. Wow!!!! They were delicious!!!!!! The order came out all at once. It was brought to our table, served wrapped in the burger-type foil. Fries were great too. If you've got a craving for a burger made like back in the States, this is the place to go. We'll absolutely be going again.

My husband and had a craving for a burger and decided to give Joe's a try. Wow! We were not disappointed. The burger was huge and delicious and the fries were cooked to perfection. The service was also very good. I think we will go back again tomorrow!

A local B&B owner told us to have lunch here. He even told us what to order. When we found it we weren't quite sure. Located off the tourist track on a modest corner in a rundown neighborhood, we questioned freshness and quality. Not to worry. We followed the advice and ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with no cheese, extra pickles. We received the most tasty, generous solid chicken breast with a delicious thin breading and miraculous crispy texture. The sandwich was simply delicious and the fries were excellent. The only regret was that we were not warned that the sandwich was large enough to be shared, so we were stuffed when we left. The price was ridiculous, only about five bucks. All it lacked was a tourist view, but we're glad we listened to the resident.

4 of us stopped for lunch and it was a very pleasant surprise how good the burgers were. Ran into the grocery store next door to get some beer because Joe didnt serve beer.
