Another stop we picked up the sliders to try and we loved those too. We will definitely include this stop on our next trip.
Another of Isla’s hidden gems ...the empanadas are ‘the best’ ..the secret is the ‘sauce’ which is very distinctive ..owner and staff were very friendly ..you may have to look a little bit to find it but well worth the effort ..in the general area of the grocery store
Food was wonderful. Flatbreads, empanadas and salads are excellent. Next visit: sliders! Owners are friendly creating a very comfortable environment.
Nice little place, cute decor, good food. I had the chicken sliders and a ham cheese empanada. Wife had spinach and tomato basil empanada. Everything was awesome, they do not serve beer but there is a Six across the street. Map is wrong the trip advisor map shows the wrong location. This is a few blocks north of the Chedraui at the Y. Mapquest the Sesoloco left just before on “Isla blanca”
This place is definitely worth not just a slow down but a full stop. We shared two types of empanadas and a salad. Wow. The empanadas came out piping hot and delicious; really well seasoned. The salad was super fresh, especially the greens. The gal who took our order said she normally would use kale but they were all out. If you are not a fan of Mexican beers, they also serve Stella Artois. Sitting outside we had a nice view out to the water and of the artwork in the courtyard. The wait for our food was not so long. Friendly service, too!
