Food was decent, and service was ok. The food did take a really long time to come out. Our issue with this place was the deceiving prices! They have daily specials posted outside, which sounds great. Then, when you order them, if you don't specifically say you want that special with that price, they pretend that they gave you the meal from the menu and not the special, and overcharge you!! They also include their 15% tip. Check your bill before paying!

We've eaten at Vinales many times during the last five or six years. Our visits there during our recent stay in Isla were just as pleasing as in the past. Jose and Nayeli, the owners, serve excellent ceviche and garlic cooked fish. We found out why: They pay more for the type of fish they obtain (grouper); many restaurants on the island serve a cheaper fish sourced from Asia. We also found out that the owners buy a higher quality cut of beef and that's why the fajitas on their menu are so tender and tasty. The outdoor area is a very pleasant place to eat these great menu items. And Vinales is in a convenient location: a half block from the main avenue that the ferry landing is on, and a less than 10 minute walk from North Beach (Playa Norte). Finally, their margaritas are great.
