Mara Fish Deli - Isle of Arran

I believe the menu at this restaurant changes frequently, but on the day we visited, we enjoyed the incredibly delicious kings oyster mushroom "Shallots" with BBQ'd asparagus, dijon mustard, lemon, and vegan aioli.

My friends and I dined at this restaurant on Saturday, which happens to be BBQ day. The standout vegan option was a roasted carrot dish, which I was initially skeptical about, but it turned out to be amazing! I paired it with chips and a salad, and everything was delicious and fresh. We were pleased to eat our meal while enjoying the view of the sea. We will definitely return on our next visit in hopes of trying the vegan tacos on the menu.

The restaurant frequently updates their menu and consistently offers a vegan choice. I tried the vegan kedgeree and it was absolutely delicious! The staff was lovely, the coffee with oat milk was fantastic, and they also had a deli section with vegan products. Although there were some seating options, I opted for a takeaway and enjoyed my meal on the beach.

We ate here on Saturday, the BBQ day and the vegan main is a roasted carrot dish. At first I wasn't sure, but it was amazing! I had it with chips and a salad and it was all so delicious and fresh. So glad we eat here and like to sit and look at the sea while we ate. We will definitely eat here at the next visit and hopefully be on the right day for the vegan tacos!
