Bay Royal Esplanade - Isle of Wight

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, good prices, and offers comforting old-world simplicity. It is a beautiful place to spend the afternoon with a glass of Malbec and read the paper. Overall, it is a nice place to dine.

Although only registered as a 3-star hotel, I would consider it closer to a 4-star in my opinion. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, and the hotel emanated a charming, old-world atmosphere. The food was excellent for both dinner and breakfast. If you find yourself in Ryde, this hotel is a great choice. Additionally, the hovercraft stop is conveniently located just across the road.

This hotel and restaurant offer excellent value and are operated by a friendly team who always greet you with a smile. Located conveniently with private parking available, the only downside was that the room was not as clean as expected. While the surfaces of the furniture and door handles were not up to par, even the underside of the toilet seat was lacking. Despite these minor issues, our overall experience was positive and we look forward to staying here again in the near future.

Great steak and chips. Apple and blackberry crumble so good we had it the following night too! Very good food

I had baked crab to start, followed by lamb shank; my wife had prawn cocktail and fish; all served by friendly, helpful staff, who were suitably masked for the current restrictions. Diners were well spaced out. Dinner was much better than many similar hotel restaurants.
