Located within a cliff top hotel, this bar and restaurant was chosen for its stunning view as well as its excellent food. The menu offers standard fare, but most of the ingredients are sourced locally and are prepared and served impeccably. The service is friendly and accommodating.
Posh burger and chips at inflated prices.but staff very pleasant and helpful but we decided to eat at the village inn.
We dined at this restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the best pint of real ale we've had on the island. The only drawback was the lack of experienced staff running the bar/restaurant. On our second visit, the real ale was not being poured correctly and no one knew how to fix it. Additionally, the waitress repeatedly checked who had ordered what, which was not very efficient. Despite these issues, the staff were all polite and we would be happy to return again.
During our holiday in Shanklin, we stumbled upon this restaurant located across from where we were staying. They offer a Happy Hour from 5 to 7, which was convenient for us to make a quick dash across in the rain. The food here is much tastier than what we had on the seafront and it is also presented better. The chips are especially delicious. Due to bad weather and not being able to find seating at another restaurant, we ended up dining here two nights in a row. Each night, all three of us enjoyed our meals and the waitress was very friendly. We have loved the food so much that we are thinking about going back for a third visit.
