However this visit was equally as poor inasmuch as although it was relatively peaceful in there, the quality of the Coffee I had was poor with little flavour, and it was not that hot. My Wife said that her Cappuccino was also tasteless and luke warm as well, added to which the Lemon Cake which she had, and that I sampled, lacked Lemon taste, and was dry going on stale. The fact that we left over half the Cake and most of her Cappuccino was testament to what we were served. All in all a very disappointing experience, and as such I don’t think I’ll be going out of my way to visit again.
I usually stop by this restaurant for their excellent coffee when I'm in the area. However, this time I decided to try their breakfast on the suggestion of a friend. It was fantastic and I definitely plan on returning for more.
This charming cafe is located in the historic former waiting room of Sandown Station. We have dined here multiple times and have consistently enjoyed delicious food and drinks at affordable prices. The staff are very welcoming and the food is beautifully presented and of high quality.
I arranged my mums 60th birthday party at the cafe.A beautiful venue and Ali and her mum were very helpful in arranging it.The buffet they organised was beautiful with something for everyone.I am vegetarian and the spread was amazing. Many of the people at the party were from the island and didnt know about the cafe, they all loved it and will be back.I am still getting messages about what a brilliant venue it was.If you Luce on the island or are visiting tou myst go.Thanks Ali .
I say hidden ish, because it in Sandown Train Station, on the main IOW Tube Line, but it 's easy to miss if you 're not paying much attention. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted, and instantly felt welcome. It was exactly what I needed after a long walk through the neighbouring town of Shanklin.I ordered a Breakfast Baguette (pictured) and a Cup of Tea, which came to £5.20.I personally believe it to be well worth the value the food was excellent and generously portioned. It felt like a mixture of old timey train tea rooms, combined with the feeling of being back home with Mum 's cooking. In short, if you 're on the Island, or traveling to the Isle of Wight, take the wonderful 1930 's tube train up to Sandown, and pay this beautiful little spot a visit.
