Fox Anchor - Islington

This pub is still fantastic with a great choice of wine and ale. The setting is traditional and they offer heritage English dishes. They also have private rooms available. Although it may not be as authentic as before Malmaison took over, it is still a great place to grab a drink and a wonderful place to stay if you're lucky enough to get a reservation.

Charming old pub with a nice dining room! The service was excellent, thanks to the lovely waitress. It was disappointing that they were missing some key ingredients for the Fox's Breakfasts. It's surprising to run out of black pudding in a meat market when it's a staple of the breakfast menu.

Bellerina and I arrived shortly before 7 and were past our table by a bucking cake, a oyster counter and the carving trolley.

Not what I expect. while the service at the bar was sufficient for a central iondoner pub, they checked their change, it can not be quite what they thought the barmann quoted a price, but gave a change that corresponds to another price. no redress from the administration. no good experience I live in london and expect better.
