The fries were perfectly cooked, though they could have used a bit more salt (easily fixed). They offer a good variety of wines by the glass. The outdoor seating is a major bonus when the weather is nice.
We booked Singer Tavern for a company dinner event based on its attractive website and availability for a large group. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the entire experience, from the booking process to the lack of communication with staff regarding our questions. Upon arrival, we were met with chaos and extremely loud music that made conversation difficult. The serving staff did their best, but there were issues with our preorders and the food was subpar and overpriced. We found the burgers to be dry and the chips to be bland. We left as soon as possible and would not recommend this restaurant. Look elsewhere for a better dining experience.
Weekday lunch with a colleague. The food (fish wrap, chicken katsu curry) was tasty but took a really long time to arrive for a relatively simple order nearly an hour from ordering on a relatively quiet day. Front of house staff noticed and were apologetic and polite but not able to speed things up. Unfortunately, it's not the first time it's happened to me with food at the Singer Tavern, so this is mainly to give a heads up of the experience; you might be waiting longer than planned.
This pub is in a fantastic location and gets quite crowded at times. They offer a good variety of craft beers on their menu. However, I was disappointed to find that several of the beers listed were not available, and the staff did not seem well-informed about their craft beer selection.
Nice little bar, staff are very good, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. If your in the area recommend a visit.
