Tinto Wine Kitchen - Islington

There are restaurants in Islington, but only make the top lists. Tinto makes it in year after year for one reason; it is an outstanding restaurant which serves tapas rather than an outstanding tapas restaurant. It's focus and passion turns small plates into an art.  It has a  fascinating blend of east and west. You'll find Gyozas as well as charcuterie and naughty little dishes such as mini lobster tarragon burgers with coleslaw followed by scallops sautéed with wild mushrooms pepped up with with parsley garlic on cauliflower puree, or the outstanding beef tataki seared beef loin with green apple ponzu sauce – all at restrained prices.

Visited on a Saturday night and was slightly late for our table booking, but the waitresses were completely ok with that and did their best to get us settled in. Started off with two glasses of fizzy rose, at a very reasonable price. We shared couple of tapas, the porc wuaggyu was great and loved the mini black lobster burgers. finally we shared a santiago almond tart which was perfectly soft and some dessert wine to finish. Would recommend this restaurant for different tapas lovers and those who visit London and end up going to the same old chain/franchise restaurants.

Delicious tapas, nice wine et great atmosphere. For sure, that's not fine food but the products are good and the cooker is talented. Whatever, I love thise place!

There is a long held belief that islington is great for eating... it's not. This is the highlight. The food is just amazing. The staff are great. The menu changes regularly. Pierre's team are amazing. don't ever leave us!

Truly interesting restaurant with a great variety of tapas quite different from the usual. I loved everything and the white tempranillo wine was great thanks to the waitress who recommended it. Finished with a gorgeous churros with an expresso with orange liquor. Will be back thank you for the great evening.
