We kept the plates around during our main courses because we kept wanting to dip into those sauces again. My ribeye steak sandwich was cooked to perfection and was really good, the fries are excellent and crispy. The fettuccine alfredo could have used a little bit of salt but was very good. If you like soda then get the mango refresher, it was excellent and very refreshing and delicious! The blackberry basil lemonade is also quite good, but the basil flavor is very strong so if you don't like basil very much, don't get it.
I recently dined at this restaurant with friends after reading positive reviews on Google. I had high hopes for a great meal, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. The prices were steep, and the food did not match the high cost. The dishes lacked flavor and presentation, especially the peppercorn steak and beef sliders. The service was decent, with knowledgeable staff, but it couldn't make up for the lackluster food. While taste is subjective, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience. The high prices and underwhelming food just don't add up to the positive reviews.
I started w the mango sparkler, which was delicious. For a starter we got the fondue and it was pretty good. I liked the variety of dippables that they brought out w it. I ordered the pistachio crusted halibut and it was the star of the show, but it was the special. My husband got the prosciutto wrapped black cod. His fish was very moist and flaky and the sauce and accompanying veggies were flavorful and interesting to eat. His veggies were better than mine, but I liked my fish more. I did think it was sort of expensive for what it was. Our lunch bill was over $100.
After reading the reviews I am hoping that my experience was one of a kind since everyone seems to love this places to much. Over all I would rate the food a solid 2/5. The cheese they add to the burger is so strong and overwhelming that it completely ruined the burger. My drink had a carbonated aspect to it and it was completely flat. My partner had one of their sandwiches and didn't even finish it. The meat was poor quality and the bread left something to be desired. The service was 5/5. Upon mentioning my drink being flat our server was happy to bring me another. I refused just because it had tasted to bad the way it was that I didn't want anything but water moving forward. I found the server to be kind, and very nice. Could have gotten better food at a cafe for half the price.
Wild Fin went above and beyond our expectations. The menu was truly excellent, with a fantastic selection of wines. I highly recommend trying the beets burrata cheese starter if you enjoy beets. The seasonal seared halibut with vegetables was absolutely delicious. The prawn scampi was also tasty, with plenty of prawns hidden under a generous portion of delicious spaghetti. Overall, it was well worth the trip and I highly recommend Wild Fin for dinner.
