Tiān Xià Chá Wū - Itako

A married couple who both hold qualifications in fugu preparation, with the wife being the first female in Ibaraki Prefecture. Currently, they also operate as a tea house during the day. Enjoy a leisurely lunch with the friendly husband! Today's special is grilled fish set meal with saury, served with coffee.

During our visit to Kashima with our 5-year-old daughter, we stopped by this cozy and lovely restaurant for dinner. Despite our daughter spilling tea, the chef was very kind and the food was delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area and will definitely visit again. Thank you.

For around 3000 yen, you can drink alcohol and eat to your heart's content at this affordable and delicious restaurant. Definitely worth a visit. We were looking for a place to eat at 7:30 PM and found that all the good restaurants in Itako were fully booked with 8 people. Just at 8:00 PM, we were lucky to find this place empty as a group was leaving. The chef, who is the father of the owner, was in charge of the kitchen. The simmered fish Ainame was 400 yen, Kasago was 700 yen, and the appetizer was meat and potatoes, all very cheap and delicious. The eel bowl for 2500 yen was generously topped with sauce that had been cooked down perfectly. The squid butter was also a hit. For dessert, the grated yam soba was also outstanding. The father's friendly demeanor makes me want to visit again.
