The staff are friendly and make for a pleasant experience. Be sure to try the shrimp tempura ramen, a soul food of Iwanai! The tempura is freshly fried. I wish they had served it separately so I could dip it in the soup as I liked. The soup is great with salt! You can definitely finish it all. Next time, I think I'll try the regular ramen with soy sauce soup.
I visited a restaurant in the town of Shakotan to try their rumored delicious shrimp tempura ramen. The concept was definitely unique and intriguing. The ordering system was done through a ticket machine, and the visual presentation of the dishes was quite curious. The soup was clear and had a strong saltiness to it, while the noodles were thin and curly. The ramen also had char siu pork, which added a nice touch. The combination of the tempura and soup was excellent, with the tempura oil blending into the soup to enhance the flavor. The tempura batter also absorbed the soup, creating a pleasant texture. The shrimp tempura was fried perfectly and packed with flavor. The char siu pork was fatty and tender, bringing out the savory taste of the meat. Personally, I found the saltiness to be a bit overpowering, but overall, it was a refreshing bowl of ramen. The parking lot was full of cars parked on the side of the road in front of the restaurant, so I recommend using the nearby Michi-no-Eki rest stop for parking. I look forward to trying their other ramen dishes next time.
I ate Iwanai Port Ramen. The salt soup had a seafood essence blended in, and it was very delicious. Personally, I prefer this over the shrimp tempura ramen.
