Village Kitchen - Jacksboro

Hubby and I were headed home to Fort Worth after a weekend of camping at Lake Arrowhead, and found this place. Absolutely delicious! My chicken fried steak was hand battered. Hubby's onion rings were the perfect consistency and temperature. The burger was huge. No complaints here.

The coffee here is exceptional! The waitress was incredibly friendly, and we enjoyed a delightful breakfast. It's clear that the locals love this place. The cleanliness was impressive as well.

However, I docked a star because it took a while for the food to arrive, and the kitchen and waitstaff seemed a bit disorganized — something other reviewers noted as well. I wasn't in a hurry, so it didn't bother me, but if you're pressed for time, you might want to consider another option. For those looking to enjoy a relaxed meal, I highly recommend the Village Kitchen for a tasty and affordable dining experience!
