After calling for directions, a lady from the restaurant came down the street to assist me – such a sweet gesture! The menu was filled with delicious options, and they were very helpful in guiding us through our choices. The food was absolutely incredible, making the journey from Virginia definitely worthwhile! I couldn't have asked for a better experience; their service is top-notch. I highly recommend Papa's Kitchen! We'll definitely be coming back!
This restaurant deserves high praise for its contribution to Filipino cuisine. They offer a variety of dishes like crispy pata, lechon kawali, kare-kare, sinigang, desserts, and much more. While the menu may seem limited, it serves as a wonderful introduction to Filipino food. The aromas are incredible as well. During my visit, I tried the sinigang na ulo ng salmon (salmon head in a sour soup), crispy pata, beef pares, and fried chicken. Everything was outstanding—the flavors, the textures, the presentation were all on point. I particularly enjoyed the rice, which wasn't as sticky as you find in most Filipino restaurants, indicating they are using quality ingredients. Overall, this place is a hidden gem—quite literally. We almost got lost searching for it! It's a lovely spot located next to a Thai restaurant. Just be careful not to get lost like I did!
We're from Texas, and we're so glad we discovered this place last year. The food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We were thrilled that our New York family really enjoyed the meal too. The customer service was fantastic, and we can't forget how Maria sang a Spanish song for us while we were eating, dedicated to my uncle, aunt, and my love. I highly recommend this restaurant! We will definitely be back soon.
Awesome Filipino Restaurant with karaoke, everyone can sing. Enjoy belly sisig and dynamite Shanghai. Bilao can be ordered for parties before time
What a hidden gem! I've been a fan of Filipino cuisine for years, but this was my first visit to Papa's Kitchen. Beth, literally, was one of the friendliest people that I have ever met. She treated my husband and I as if we were longtime friends. She helped us feel as comfortable as she could given that we had to dine outdoors in very cold weather. We went for a quick lunch and ended up staying and chatting with her for 2 hours. Oh, and the food is divine! The crispy pata was a revelation.
