Wine was very good, food(supreme pizza) was not, very thin crust slightly burnt and bland toppings. I believe the onsite made cider was a malt beveridge with apple flavoring as it gave my wife a headache like she gets from commercial malt beveridges such as Seagram's. The onsite made IPA and brown ale we're ok but not as good as what is made Jackson Street in perryville or Minglewood in cape Girardeau. Would I come back? If a band I really wanted to see was playing, probably, otherwise no as Hemman and Apple Creek wines are just as good and a half hour closer.
Wonderful facility great porch. No offerings in the dry white wine category. Everything is fairly sweet
Music is great. Pizza wonderful. Check out 3 of a Perfect Pair. And the Lorimier St. Hooligans
We stopped here en route to St Louis as it was only a 10 min turnoff from the interstate. Go down a lovely road, surrounded by trees which reminded me of Tuscany (except these aren't poplar trees) and you come to a collection of buildings on the right. So driving up, it was immediately apparent there was no grapevines in the surrounding fields!!!! Puzzled over this, we asked at the wine rating table (limit of 4 tastings in a plastic cup which you have to reuse) and found out they lost their harvest a couple years back and since then the grapes are grown in other locations and then the wine is made by them with the purchased grapes. Of the 4 I tasted, my preference was for the semi dry whites with the Edelweiss and the Apple being favorites. I did not care for the fruit ones found them musty and with a slightly sour aftertaste. To get the food, you order inside, are given a number, have to grab plates and utensils from a back table and the find a seat. We decide to sit on the back porch where the strains of the live band reached our table but not so loud that we couldn't talk. Food wise, our party of 3 split Grilled chicken salad (half size $5) and veggie pizza (large $17) and rather than paying $4 per glass of Seyval Blanc, just got the bottle for $17. Surprised to note we got charged $1 for glass of water but hey it would be €8 for half a liter bottle in EU so this was way better! Anyway salad was decent as was the think crust veggie pizza. Our crust edge was TOTALLY burnt, which I was disappointed at. Decent food and fun way to while away the time if you are in the area. Note: #293 of Yelp 100 challenge for 2016
