Biagio's Italian Coffee - Jacksonville

Absolutely the worst food and service I have ever experienced. I called three weeks prior to a Christmas party I was coordinating to make a reservation for 21 people. I was referred to the event coordinator who I spoke with on and off for the entire three weeks. She assured me everything would be taken care of. We showed up on December 13th with 18 people. The tables were not set up, the kitchen was not staffed properly, we had one waitress for 18 people who quite obviously was not a waitress she had no idea what she was doing. After the horrible experience I realized she was the event coordinator.... It took two hours to get our food half of our group was done eating before the other half even had their food. The food was horrible absolutely horrible!! Most of us didn't eat because it was so bad. When we tried to speak to a manger to address the situation we were met with attitude. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this experience as I had been to Biagio's probably 12 times in the past and always had amazing service and food. I have been told that they changed owners and if that is the case you may want to seriously reconsider what you are doing. Will not go back absolutely do not recommend!! Worst dining experience to date!

XMas party of 18. Reservations made. Showed up; not set up. Guests help combine tables. 1 server for 18 people. Food took TWO HOURS TO ARRIVE. One end of table done eating when other were just receiving their food. Grilled cheese was SO HARD we passed one half of the sandwich around hitting the table with hit and laughing. This next part is no exaggeration. 1 guest ordered a plan hamburger. Server brought it out with cheese on it. Her comment was she didn 't understand why the guy was behind the grill as he was in training and should only be observing and she took the burger back. She brought the plate back out within five minutes. They actually had the unprofessionalism as to scrape off the cheese and then flip the burger over to attempt to cover it up. I brought it to the server 's attention (but she already knew). Out of the 18 meals, 15 were horrible. My cheeseburger was not fresh; it was pre made and so small that there was literally 1/2 of bun before you reached pre made/frozen burger. One of our party went to the back to ask for manager.....low and behold the manager was our server! UNBELIEVABLE. Her response to our complaints, well what do you expect me to do about it and then she literally stormed off. Our meal was comp 'd but it was the worst service/food/professionalism you can imagine. The grilled cheese was so hard that we could pass half of it around the table, playfully hitting it against the surface and laughing. It gets worse: one guest ordered a plain hamburger, but the server mistakenly brought it with cheese. She claimed that the cook responsible was still in training and shouldn't have been behind the grill, so she took the burger back. Five minutes later, she returned with the same burger, having simply scraped off the cheese and flipped it over to hide the evidence. I pointed this out to her, but she was already aware. Out of the 18 meals, 15 were terrible. My cheeseburger was poorly made—clearly pre-cooked and frozen, and the bun was so big compared to the tiny burger that it felt like you had to eat half the bun before getting to the patty. One member of our party went to the back to request to speak with the manager, only to discover that the manager was our server! When we shared our complaints, her reaction was dismissive; she asked, "What do you expect me to do about it?" and then she literally walked away in a huff. Our meal was comped in the end, but that didn't make up for the atrocious service, food quality, and lack of professionalism. This is a true account of our experience on December 13, 2018.

I had heard great things about this restaurant’s food and service, but my experience was quite the opposite. I ordered an omelet, and after waiting for two hours—while everyone else in my party had already finished their meals—it finally arrived. I won’t be returning and cannot recommend this place.

Awful food and terrible service! Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of this place.
