China Kitchen - Jacksonville

This is a great Chinese restaurant that really values cleanliness, which is very important to me. I stopped by late at night after mistakenly calling the wrong place for takeout. They quickly took my order and prepared my food fresh.

I ordered the pepper steak with onions. The portion was generous, but the dish could have used a bit more flavor.

The experience was incredibly disappointing. The food we received last night was honestly terrible. A $5 box of fries had to be thrown away because they were cold and hard, clearly hours old. The chicken was just as unappetizing; it looked almost black from old grease, and it felt as if it had been left out waiting to be served. It was truly unacceptable! This was a complete waste of money, and they should be embarrassed to serve food in such a condition.

I emphasized again that I wanted fresh fried chicken made to order, but then a man got on the phone. He informed me that they prepare the chicken in advance and wouldn't fry more until they ran out. When I asked him about the status of the already fried chicken, he seemed quite irritated. I questioned whether they could accommodate my request for fresh chicken, and since they wouldn’t, I decided to cancel my order and said I wouldn't do business with them anymore. Overall, the service was rude and unprofessional, and the food didn't seem worth it. Spend your hard-earned money elsewhere!
