I am of German heritage and HALA'S is a bit far away from me as I live in Orange Park , Florida which is about 13 miles away . I had business on that side of Jacksonville , so after business , I headed over to Hala's . My latest visit was great with only one disappointment no spinach pies were available at that time . SIGH ! My favorite is Hala's pita bread which is ALWAYS soft and tasty ! My second favorite item is MAKDOUS pickled eggplant that is stuffed with walnuts ! With no spinach pies available , I bought the cheese pies instead , which were just as delicious ! I couldn't leave without buying four Kibby . I spent about $48.00 for four Kibby , two packages of pita bread , two jars of makdous , and two cheese pies . My former wife who was Lebanese introduced me to middle eastern food and I LOVE IT ! For those who have not tried Hala's , they should give it a whirl !
I like the other dinning room they had before. Current one, seating tables are too close together. I understand they needed that space they had before for other things .just to crowded in there.
