Masala Indian Cuisine - Jacksonville

I visited this restaurant after reading some glowing reviews, and I'm so glad I did. I ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan, while my husband had a lamb platter (I can't remember the exact name, though). The service was excellent, and the food was delicious—just a little spicy, but nothing overwhelming. Since it was our first experience with Indian cuisine, we didn't know what to expect, but it definitely exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be returning!

We went on a slow day during lunch. We are new to eating at an Indian restaurant (but have had indian food). The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and patient with us as we figured out what to order. I love how the dishes are served. It lets everyone get to sample everything. When trying a new restaurant, my go-to dish is Vindaloo, and this time I chose the chicken with medium heat as well. It was fantastic! My husband ordered the Lamb Curry with hot spice level, and he said it was perfect. We shared our dishes and both agreed that this place deserves a five-star rating. Of course, we couldn't resist ordering Naan, and we opted for the garlic variety, along with a side of Raitha, which was also delicious. We love the Raitha dip—it really cleanses the palate as we move from one dish to the next. I almost forgot to take photos because the food was so tempting that we started eating right away, so the pictures show partially eaten dishes! The service was outstanding; we visited during a quiet time, so it wasn't too busy. Our waitress was prompt and offered great suggestions, which I really appreciated. Our food arrived hot and fresh, and she kept our drinks full. We were thoroughly pleased with the service we received. The atmosphere was lovely and had a cozy feel. I appreciated how the tables were arranged along the sides, separated by walls, which created a more intimate setting. The restaurant was very clean, with great lighting. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely return!

So far, this is one of the best Indian restaurants I've tried in Jacksonville. They offer a wide variety of dishes. A MUST-TRY is the chicken masala—it's simply delicious! The service is decent, but the food is fantastic.
