I just moved to the Mandarin area and I plan on working my way through non-chain local restaurants. Tonight was my first go at it and it have to say that I am beyond thrilled to have found Thai Cuisine Noodle House. I can get my Pho and Panang Curry all in one place. <br/ We started off with the green papaya salad. We ordered it medium spicy, which gave it some serious kick. Next time I think I will stick with mild, but despite the heat, it was delicious. The papaya and accompanying vegetables were fresh and crisp, while the peanuts offered an earthy flavor. It was a delicious appetizer. <br/ My brother got the Pho, which is usually a Vietnamese dish, but TCNH did a great job with it. The broth was spot on, the noodles were perfect, and all of the fixings were delicious. My brother's girlfriend got the shrimp fried rice. Not much to say about it other than it was perfect. I ordered the Panang Curry. It was definitely an eyes rolling back into your head pleasurable experience to eat. <br/ We ended the meal with the mango sticky rice. It was a sweet ending to a very spicy meal...plus it was waaaay better thank Phattaya Thai's dessert. <br/ <br/ So now that you know the food was good, I can vouch for the great service. Not once did our glasses get empty, the servers consistently checked on us, and promptly brought is anything we requested. The restaurant was clean and well maintained. <br/ <br/ I'm pretty sure I'll be back within the next month.
Humble and modest on the outside, this charming family-run restaurant offers exceptional food and outstanding customer service.
The menu is reasonably priced, with generous portion sizes, making the $9 and above entree prices worth it due to the quality of the food. There are dishes available here that you won't find at Mai Thai, another excellent Thai restaurant in the area, so it's worth trying both. My dad ordered the *delicious* seafood Pho soup, while my brother opted for the *equally delicious* beef Pho soup. Both soups had a lovely underlying sweet and cinnamon-like flavor that is typical in some Thai dishes, but it wasn't overpowering. The flavors blended beautifully, regardless of the extras added. Both my dad and brother enhanced their Pho with condiments such as hoisin and oyster sauce, sriracha, chopped jalapeños, bean sprouts, basil leaves, lime, and a homemade spice sauce, which was delicious but I didn’t catch its name. I chose the delightful Ginger Style fish fillet entree, served with mixed vegetables and a rich brown ginger sauce. The ginger flavor was subtle, and there was no overwhelming sweetness or cinnamon notes. The entree came with my choice of fried fish, which remained crispy despite being in the sauce, and a bowl of jasmine rice. I ended up adding all the extra condiments because I loved how they enhanced the dish!
Was wonderful !! Very flavorful , would definetly come again. The staff was attentive and helpful. This was my second visit and I enjoyed it yet again!
