Our 9-person hiking party came to this place after hiking to the Trestles in Anza Borrego. We were starving and looking for a place on the way back to San Diego that served a burger. The hostess quickly accommodated our large group. She was super friendly and helpful with our questions. The restaurant makes the best onion rings and homemade ranch dressing. If you're vegetarian, you can order the chili or the black bean burger. And how's this for service? The waitress offered to give us separate checks before she even took our order. How cool is that?
We more or less stubbled onto this place, it is on the old road and several miles off the Interstate. Good move! Good food, good service, and very reasonable prices. It is literally walking distance from the border. Next time we are in the area, we will plan on going back!
This place is a joke! the service was terrible and the waitress was rude like she was obligated to serve me. Not too mention there were a bunch of flies in the dinner room! But the wifi was great!
We drove around for a bit looking for a restaurant called Tepary South West Grill, only to find that it was this restaurant located in the spa. I had the Hopi Lamb Stew. This is the first and only time I've ever had Hopi Lamb Stew, but it Hopi-fully (ahem, sorry) won't be the last. It was flavorful and delicious, and a rather large serving. It didn't make me regret not participating in Taco Tuesday, which looked pretty great. Friendly wait staff, and a good place to stop in this tiny little town so close to the border that my friend's phone began alerting him to roaming charges from Mexico.
