Catappa - Jakarta

Ala Carte is not worth it. I got too salty steak blackbean sauce. The soup was okay, the mango sticky rice was horrible. I Don't know about the buffet, people seemed to enjoy their meal though.

Dont ever eat here. Portion of the buffet is limited by the variety of stuff. Wanted 3 siomay for one take and only given 2. Ordered the special beef offering for the night, was given fatty ends instead of edible meats . Where is the generosity and courtesy for guests who came for a happy dinner. I am left unsatisfied. I brought my family here and I regret wasting my time. Any diner who is seeking an adventurous experience for a dining buffet experience should not come here. Finally, we came because of BCA credit card promotion for credit card holders, i am platinum card holder, apparently a platinum card does not deserve the promotion because of some shady logic they explain that it is not considered as a credit card form, they should really educate themselves. Their service is truly amateurish and inexperienced in respecting their visitors.

This restaurant serves some of the best dim sum in the city. You have to try it. I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed!

• Catappa Grand Mercure Jakarta • Cuisine: Indonesian, Italian, Western • Ambiance: Casual • My experience at Catappa was located inside the Grand Mercure hotel. The menu was a buffet style. The service was very quick and attentive to details in pricing. The food was delicious, as others have mentioned in their reviews, but there were not a lot of variations on the menu. I recommend checking the menu beforehand.

The restaurant took an incredibly long time to refill their food, as slow as a snail. The roasted beef and sauce were cold, giving it a taste rating of 4.5 out of 10 for hotel standards. The sushi was decent, but overall I would not recommend eating here as you may be disappointed. The ambiance was satisfactory.
