After assisting a friend in claiming her gift from the Casino, we decided to indulge our taste buds at this renowned restaurant. The menu at Emerald Chinese Cuisine offers a variety of yummy dishes. We ordered Szechuan eggplant, salt pepper chicken, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, and Singaporean noodles. Each dish had its own special flavors, and the overall quality of the food was really good. The best dish of the night was the Szechuan eggplant. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, soft and covered in a tasty sauce. The spices and seasonings added a nice kick and made it the highlight of our meal. I highly recommend trying this dish when you visit Emerald Chinese Cuisine. The salt pepper chicken was also a hit. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was just right, with a nice salty and slightly spicy taste. The dipping sauce that came with it was a great match and made us want more. The chicken fried rice was a classic choice that didn't disappoint. The rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly, and the chicken was flavorful and plentiful. It wasn't the most adventurous dish, but it was really tasty and satisfying. The Mongolian beef was another standout. The beef was tender and packed with flavor. It had a delicious sauce that complemented the meat perfectly. It was a dish that we couldn't get enough of. However, the Singaporean noodles didn't meet our expectations. They didn't have the authentic flavors we were hoping for and didn't compare to the other dishes. They lacked the rich and complex tastes that we expected. They weren't terrible, but they weren't as good as the rest. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere with modern and inviting decorations that made our dining experience enjoyable. Our experience at Emerald Chinese Cuisine in Jamul Casino was mostly really good. The Szechuan eggplant, salt pepper chicken, chicken fried rice, and Mongolian beef were amazing dishes that stood out. The Singaporean noodles were a bit disappointing, but they didn't ruin our overall meal. If you're looking for tasty Chinese food with lots of options, I recommend giving Emerald Chinese Cuisine a try.
When in Jamul Casino, this is a great place for your Asian food fix. You can dine in or take your food to go. The food is decently priced. If you are a casino player you can get a discount. Portions are decent and the quality is also decent. Since this is a casino, the ambiance is always a bit noisy or loud. If you're not in the mood to sit down, they can take your orders outside a kiosk stand to the right of the outside. They serve boba and Vietnamese coffee here if you decide you want something sweet. My recommendations: Angus pepper beef Salt and pepper squid Vegetables
I really wanted to like this bar but the service and atmosphere is awkward. I asked the bartender for a menu and he looked at me crazy like what’s a menu? And I said a Menu please..? Do you cocktails specials or food. And he said there is no menu and yes we have food lol I’m like ok. and I thought that was soo weird. The guy sitting a few spots from me was like Jamul Casino is a weird bar, so it’s not you lol I was just shocked with that beginning experience. And then after a few minutes the bartender said hold on after I was like “ohh ok, I’ll just get a shot of Don Julio” he gave me a old bent red binder with Pokémon cards and baseball cards in it and inside they had 5 pictures of cocktail drinks with no prices or description of what was in the drink man this place was like soo weird. Hahaha I was like this red binder reminds me of when I was a kid collecting Pokémon cards after he made my tequila shot, he asked me if I wanted to try a cocktail from the binder and I said “sure, I’ll try the blue drink” so he made it, and it was super delicious! However when he gave it to me he said where is the other person because your only suppose to have 1 drink and I was like I never had another person and I said why didn’t you say that when I ordered the drink or even before making the drink and he waved his hand in the air like whatever and mad Mann this experience was very awkward. Everyone at the bar was like that was soo weird and looking at the bartender crazylol I was like whatever, and all my friends and family told me the same thing about Jamul Cadino Bars.. it’s weird like that.. I’ll stick to Sycuan! Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Everything about Tony Gwynn’s is a treat. The food is tasty, the portions are generous and the staff is friendly. They feature screens in the booths to keep you apprised of the score while you enjoy your meal. At first I balked at the price of the spicy fried chicken sandwich but when it came out I realized it could easily feed two people and is completely worth it!! Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
