Citrus Cafe - Janesville

This is our personal favorite breakfast spot. We travel nearly an hour to visit this vibrant little café in the heart of Janesville. They serve the best buttermilk pancakes I've ever had. The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast options to satisfy every craving. It's a fantastic place for the whole family, and the service is outstanding.

We arrived hungry and left very satisfied. My favorite breakfast dish was prepared just for me, as I requested simple scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, and hash browns, and they made it with just a small extra charge. I was so pleased! The coffee could have used a bit more flavor—it tasted a little watered down—but the food was genuinely good and well-portioned. The bathroom was clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

The portions are huge, and every bite is packed with flavor. The pancakes are light and fluffy, with a wonderful spongy texture. The biscuits are smothered in gravy with just the right amount of pepper. The Gyro Omelette is filled with feta cheese in every single bite. The hash browns have a crispy exterior and take up half the plate.

The meal was a bit disappointing. However, our server Tori was friendly, quick, and very attentive, which made our experience much better. I can see myself returning many times.

Everything we ordered was fantastic. It was the best chicken and waffles I've ever tasted!
