Typically, Japanese curries are too sweet and very different from the spicy and flavorful sauce of the Indian subcontinent; at Taj Mahal, you can find the true Indian taste. In addition, the price is quite reasonable compared to its competitors, with vegetarian menus starting at 5 euros and a buffet for 8. It is located in one of the commercial alleys near the Kaminari-mon gate, in the heart of the traditional Asakusa district. It is easily accessible from both Tawaramachi station and Asakusa station. It is a good place to eat while touring the area's tourist attractions, and the service is excellent with the place rarely crowded. Among the dishes on the menu, you can find the classic Chicken Tikka Masala, which is perhaps the most recognized Indian dish. For drinks, the lassi, made with traditional Indian yogurt, is highly recommended.
