First, the service was exceptional and had a wonderful conversation during our lunch with our server. We went with his recommendations and it was not disappointed. Had the Ruck chicken sluice with her homemade soup. Both the soup and the pack were amazing. We were happy here. This place had a cool ambience with a Jamaican colorful environment.
Surprise find! The Ruck Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich was delicious with just the right amount of heat. The server even offered to add seasoning to it. The Pommes also had a nice kick to them.
The food at this Jasper restaurant was excellent, with a very natural and organic taste. I especially enjoyed their seating arrangements and the hospitality shown by the staff. The service was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. The fries were some of the best I've ever had, along with the other dishes I tried. If you're in town, you definitely have to give this place a try. And don't forget to try the Jamaican drinks on the menu, especially the cherry ones.
This Caribbean restaurant found in Jasper. Overall, the food was fantastic. The aromas of the turkey and the soup were top notches. The quality of bread for grilled cheese and sandwich were brilliant. The most important improvements are the pricing and service level in the terrace. The sandwiches and grilled cheese cost on average $20. They come with one side of soup/salad/frries, but also then it is quite expensive. The server suggested the fruit stamp, but it was pretty bad and prepacked. Overpriced as it was $8. There were 2 servers and both were mainly inside so we had to go to get their attention or even order food. Staff have a big mind, but need to manage the room a little better and they should consider reducing their prices for a better volume. Nevertheless, overall a great place for Caribbean flavors.
Best food in all of Jasper. Came here thinking the jerk chicken would be a bit too spicy for me but the restaurant owner made sure it was prepared in a way that used less spice (hot) but with still enough of the great flavor this place is known for. I had the jerk chicken fried sandwich. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the coleslaw was creamy, and the pickle sweet. The soup served with the jerk chicken was just out of this world. My friends has a jerk chicken grilled cheese and the fruit punch both of which they loved. The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 is because of the quantity for the price. it wasn't a lot of food let alone enough for the $22 they charge for a sandwich, wrap or grilled cheese. Fantastic experience otherwise.
