The burritos were very delicious and the sweet tea wasn't extremely sweet but still southern sweet tea. I travel through Jefferson City fairly often and will definitely be stopping again.
I've been coming here since it opened and I have to say, having moved away and been to much pricier Mexican joints in the cities, its hard not to yearn for this place again. Its a three hour drive and honestly I'd make it just to see family and eat here again. Both locations are great but this was the first one I visited and it holds a special place in my heart.
Could have sworn I already provided a review... but evidently not. It's the hubs favorite Mexican joint in town. We usually sit in the bar and they always tKe.good care of us. It was our first time going for Cinco de Mayo today. I wanted chorizo and found the Molcajete Mexicano that had ALL the meats and cheese. It was delicious! Once we ordered a large cheese dip. Figured it would be a little bigger than the salsa bowl, but it was gigantic! Soup bowl size... I was so shocked, but we ate most and brought the rest home. The hubs will miss his weekly visit when he moves next month.
Service is fast, and the nachos are warm and crispy. I'm a huge fan of the Chili Verde. The pork is tender and the green chili sauce has a lot of flavor with just the right amount of heat (for me).
The queso and chips were great. The service was great. The food was horrible. This is not Mexican food. Do better.
